A delicious specialty grown in the northern Italian town of Boretto. The onions have a crunchy and consistent texture, with a smoky, sweet and sophisticated flavor. The process includes two steps; slowly roasting and a second step on the grill making the typical grill black marks on their skin. During the first step the onions lose their excess moisture and become crunchy.
Serving Suggestions:
Combine with balsamic vinegar reduction and a selection of mature cheese, ham and salami, grilled meat, roasted angler or monk fish.
